A Program to Help Upper-Elementary and Middle School Students Achieve Academic Success - Created, evaluated, and refined over an eight-year period, this innovative program has successfully helped middle school students better organize their notebooks and achieve greater academic success. The Notebook Doctor was created by a middle school counselor who learned to motivate students by applying marketing principles to organization problems. Using a medical theme, she devised a one-time workshop to teach teacher-referred students why and how to organize their notebooks in an orderly fashion.
