The disc is compatible with both Windows and MAC operating systems. The flash-based program runs in a self-contained Flash Projector from the disc. No additional software needed. In the event that the disc does not automatically run when inserted, explore the contents of the disc. Double-click the MainMenu.exe (application file) to run the program in a Windows operating system. On a MAC, click the MainMenu application file.

Desktop applications for both MAC and Windows operating systems may be downloaded directly from the YouthLight website and installed on your hard drive. The downloaded program includes a free 10-day trial. During the free trial, fullscreen mode is not available. After 10 days, the program will no longer operate on your hard drive until you purchase a product key. After purchase, your product key will be automatically generated and emailed to you. This will be a separate email from your order confirmation. The product key will activate the program on your hard drive and also allow fullscreen viewing. To use your product key on a different computer, simply click the deactivate button. The product key will then be available for activation on a different computer. You may activate/deactivate the program as often as needed.

You can now purchase lessons individually and access them online from your web browser. The one-time, low purchase price allows unlimited single-user access simply by logging in to the YouthLight website from any computer. Adobe Flash Player must be enabled in order to view the lessons in your browser. In order to use with an iPad, download and install the free Puffin Web Browser App from the App Store. Log in to the YouthLight website from this web browser to access your purchased online lessons.
iPad and Tablet Users
Online Access to the lessons is currently the only option for use on a tablet / iPad. Flash Player is not supported for the iPad, however, there is a free app available in the App Store that will allow you to access the lessons. Download and install the Puffin Web Browser App and log in to the YouthLight website from this web browser to access your purchased online lessons.
Now updated to Version 1.5 - This update solves compatibility issues with the newest MAC operating system and includes some improved functionality in several of the lessons. Owners of SMART Guidance Multi-Topic Volume 1 (version 1.0) can upgrade now for $10 with proof of purchase. Proof of purchase may include shipping back the original disc or emailing/faxing a copy of an original invoice.
